AI search visibility

Your first month of GEO: a practical action plan for businesses

Use the first month to establish a baseline, publish useful source content and connect discovery to customer follow-up. This is an implementation schedule, not a results guarantee.

Week one: define the business question

Choose one service, the customer it serves and the decision that brings a buyer to you. Write down the questions staff actually hear and label suggestions or estimates separately from observed inquiries. Identify the person who can verify the technical or service details.

Review the existing website, access controls and available reporting. Record what is connected, what is missing and what a baseline observation means. Do not turn a failed API connection into a conclusion that your business is absent from a platform.

Week two: write the core explanation

Prepare one guide that helps a reader make the chosen decision. Include a direct answer, conditions that change the advice, a practical example and supporting sources. Create supporting articles only for distinct questions that need their own explanation.

Keep the review stages clear. A topic can be approved for writing while the resulting article still needs factual review. Assign an author, confirm source support and check the invitation to the relevant service before publication.

Week three: connect the website and the workflow

Publish the approved guide on a permanent public URL. Check the title, canonical URL, internal links, mobile reading experience and discovery-file entries. Use supported notification channels where configured, keeping their receipts separate from proof of indexing.

Review what happens after a visitor contacts the business. Define ownership of the inquiry, response expectations and the next customer action. If a portal is part of the service, check invitation, access and follow-up using appropriate test information.

Week four: review evidence and choose the next step

Compare the new work against the baseline. Record search observations, linked AI citations where available and useful business inquiries as separate measures. A newly published page may not yet have meaningful performance data; say so rather than interpreting missing data as success or failure.

Choose an improvement the evidence supports. That could be a more specific example, a clearer service page, a technical repair or another question worth researching. Keep the content owner and next review trigger visible.

Begin with KonnectOS today

KJ King’s recommendation is to use this first month to build the operating habit: research, publish, measure and improve. The value is a foundation the business can maintain, not a promise of immediate recognition.

KonnectOS can help define the GEO plan and connect the website, resource center, custom software and customer experience around it. Request an analysis and planning conversation to agree on the scope, responsibilities and first release.

Common questions

Will this produce AI citations within a month?

That is not guaranteed. The month describes a work plan; crawling, indexing, source selection and measurable business outcomes depend on external systems and the market.

What should we bring to the first discussion?

Bring your website, priority services, common customer questions, available performance reports and the biggest friction in your inquiry-to-customer process.
